Hey, I'm Alex Craig, a data- and systems-driven Lansing real estate agent happily helping people, (usually nerds like myself, veterans, unique property owners, horse owners, and more), find their next home and sell their current one, all while serving my community as a part-time Soldier in the Michigan Army National Guard so that we can all enjoy the place we call HOME.
After helping nearly 100+ people sell their home or buy a new one, self-publishing two real estate books, and being quoted in the Lansing State Journal, I have noticed a few trends.
Namely: a home buyer's desire for an authentic, non-salesy experience that doesn't leave you feeling dirtier than a pig rolling around in mud. And a home seller's desire to maximize the net profit (or cash in their pocket) from selling a home, while balancing a convenient experience.
You see, working with me is like working with your nerdy-trusted friend who loves Harry Potter (House of Ravenclaw. Can I get a holla'?), Doctor Who, and making a good pun.
Only in my back pocket is a determination to be honest and keep my clients informed, taking a data- and market-driven approach, and years of running marketing and sales strategies for homeowners that has translated into over $6 Million in sales, even when the home seemed "impossible to sell" or where other agents have failed. All of it has allowed me to win several top awards as a real estate agent, such as the Rising-Star Award.
During our selling adventures, buying extravaganzas, or while we're getting to know each other, we'll probably have many laughs. I love mutually cracking jokes at the ugly pink countertops that need to go back to the 70's.
All that said, the accomplishment I am most proud of during my time as a real estate agent is winning the Coldwell Banker Hero Award (I have since moved to Century 21) for my commitment to serve my community, as a foster parent and board member of a non-profit that serves foster children, and my country, as a member of the Army National Guard. I have fostered over 11 children many being reunited with family or being adopted by my wife and me.
Random Facts About Me: I have a twin sister, I taught myself the guitar when I was 16 (I play a lot of old-school Emo music. Secondhand Serenade anyone?), I'm a really good swimmer (won many awards and broke my high school records nearly a decade ago), I'm originally from Downriver, near Detroit Metro and moved here 5 years ago.
