Growing up in Brooklyn New York in a 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment with my Italian family of 6, could only dream that if I worked hard enough it would be possible to one day have a home with more than one bath. So at 15 years old I ventured off 3 train rides away to Manhattan and went to high school in a building which occupied the first 9 floors of a 42 story building one block from the Empire State Building. Diploma in hand I traveled 2000 miles away taking a Greyhound bus to Eastern NM University in Portales NM. A town of 10,000 people (my high school had 2000 students, talk about culture shock...but that's another story). My wheels were not by choice only able to afford an ugly green 10 speed bike going from class to class. During my years at college had two part time jobs and one was as a hostess in a little steak house providing me the flexibility to earn my degree in Business & Marketing.
