Prior to founding Premier Properties in the Palm Springs area in 2003, Marilu owned real estate firms in Newport Beach and New York. Preceding that, from 1983 to 1995, she founded and operated SouthCoast Financial Group in Orange and San Diego counties. The firm provided Asset Management service to clients such as Citibank, First Nationwide, Beverly Hills S&L, Home Savings, Weyerhauser and others. Services spanned Loss Mitigation, Loan Workouts, Bankruptcy Management, Foreclosure Management, REO Asset Management and Disposition, Property Management, Tract Asset Management and Disposition, and Tract Sales Management. Her firm sold over 4000 REO's and quite a few of them were purchased through SouthCoast Financial's Private Investors Division that provided mortgage banking and investment management services to a portfolio of high net-worth clients.
Prior to SouthCoast Financial, Marilu was the Project Manager of New Home Sales for American National in Beverly Hills and specialized in Asset Management and turn-arounds of troubled housing developments. She started her career in 1979 with Coldwell Banker specializing in premium properties in coastal Orange County.
